Steps to success

Follow these simple steps to join or renew your membership

How to join

We’ve recently upgraded to a new Association Management Database. Follow the steps below to join the AOA.

Step 1: Log in to your account

  • Click Log In located in the upper right corner of your screen.
  • You will see a pop up message about our recent system upgrade along with instructions on how to establish your new login credentials and reset your password (if applicable).
  • Click on Continue to new login page.

Note: All DOs have existing accounts in our system and do not need to create new accounts. Students will need to create an account prior to joining (refer to the Student Memberships section below for more information).

Step 2: Review and update your profile

  • Once logged in, you will be taken to the My Info page where you can review your profile information and confirm your contact information.
  • Take this opportunity to update your preferred email address and confirm your communications preferences.
  • You should also check to see if you already have an active membership. This will help avoid duplicate payments. Click My Subscriptions to see your current membership status.

Step 3: Complete the membership application to join the AOA

  • Click the Join the AOA link located at the top of the My Info page to proceed to the membership application form.
  • The form will ask you to enter relevant information to match you to the correct membership category and assess the correct dues rate. Our dues are prorated, so you can conveniently join the AOA any time of the year.
  • Once the application is completed and the payment is processed, your membership subscription and badges are active.

Congratulations! You’re now a member of the AOA.

Student memberships

Congratulations on starting your journey toward becoming a DO! Your enrollment in osteopathic medical school qualifies you for complimentary membership with the American Osteopathic Association.

Students must first create an account to become active in our system. After you create an account, you can join the AOA following the steps outlined under “How to join” above. Be sure to select “Osteopathic Medical Student” when you complete the join process to receive your complimentary membership.
